'Save or Trash' - New Feature of the A.M.A Writes Blog

On to the matter on ground today, social media can be one of the best places to hear some of the most absurd, strangest and most amusing opinions. I’m quite active on Twitter - awon observing twitter gang though. Since I’m so active there and I’m back now on the blog for real, I decided why not share some of the ‘wokest’ - yes I said wokest – ‘Woke Twitter’ opinions I have seen there. 

For those who are confused by the term ‘Woke Twitter’, it's just is a way of describing individuals who according to Paul Joseph Watson in the Urban Dictionary are “completely deranged, hysterical and see racism/oppression in virtually everything”. They are individuals with a perceived state of intellectual superiority, are ‘aware of social and political environments regarding all demographics and socio-economic standings’ and constantly fight against seeming indoctrination such as religion, educational system, racism etc. 
They know everything and have a say about what is ‘right’ in everything about everything. Yes. I am NOT exaggerating.

As I said earlier, I’m going to be bringing to you some of "'Woke’ Twitter’s" opinions and we can thrash them out here are decide if they make sense or are utterly useless and senseless. If you listen to Top Radio 90.9, I am sure you have likely followed the program ‘Paint or Trash’ where they paint or trash new music videos. This could be our own form of that show. We could call it ‘save or trash’ - or you could come up with a better name for it later on. Therefore get ready to thrash out some of the weirdest things you’d ever hear. Let’s get constructively critical.

Remy, 'Another One'? Oh no, you shouldn't have.

Hey people. A few days back Remy Ma, who I honestly had no idea who she was till that time, dropped a 7 minute long rap diss track, Shether  to shade Nicki and the whole internet was on fire. She was the rave of the moment. The buzz was so much I had to listen to the track myself even though I am not a big fan of rap. Even though I do love Nicki, I did have to admit she had murdered her in that track. Like literally. It had been brutal. I had to go back to do some research on why she would come for Nicki like that. Turned out, they do have a history of beef. I hadn't wanted to comment on it because rap wasn't really my thing. So I kept quiet even though I silently agreed with a very few minority that Nicki should not even bother replying. Remy Ma in my opinion was like this nasty itch you had that you shouldn't scratch else it would get worse. But then about 5 days later Remy releases another diss track calling it ' Another One ' and the internet responds. T

BBNaija - The Kemen Incident and My Take on it.

Big Brother Naija, a show known for its gross immorality and lewd scenes disqualified a participant for being immoral. The irony, I know right? You all know who that housemate is by now. Our brother in the lord, Kemen. The reason being that he was caught on camera groping and sexually harassing Tboss in her sleep. The gist of it has gotten so popular that there's now a new phrase called kemening someone. I don't really have to explain that do I? Ever since he got into the house, the guy had been trying his luck with anything that has a vajay to see where he would fit his dirty agenda into. He had always been a very thirsty nigga. People who watch the show should know. Not out of line, I guess, given the kind of show he was participating in but he just didn't know when not to cross the line. I saw the video footage. The trend of Ladies Proposing to Their Men - Yay! or Nah, too forward.

It has suddenly started becoming a trend on social media with ladies taking things into their hands as some would say and proposing to their men. I recently saw a viral picture of a lady doing this and I am held in awe of her courage. Common to ask all these small boys out they will start using you to do shakara or taking you for granted because in their church mind, you are being loose. With this trend of African women asking their men to marry them various views arise. Some don't feel this is proper. They keep quoting this verse of the bible: Proverbs 18:22 as their reason. For those who aren't familiar with the Bible I would paraphrase it for you. Basically that place says that he who finds  a good wife has found a good thing. In essence people who are against this trend are thus saying that the Bible only agrees with a man finding  his wife not his wife finding
