Double standards everywhere!

Hey guys. It has certainly been a while. It's good to be back though. So, while I was away, the long "awaited" Big Brother Naija reality show started. I am not crazy about the show, I am still not crazy about it. Morally, it's a terrible show on TV but then it has been rated 18, so yeah I guess children shouldn't be watching it. I, though,  have watched it a couple of times on TV recently though. I follow the twitter commentary more often though. You guys have got to admit, the twitter updates are way better. Anyways that's beside the point I came here to make.
Recently something happened in the house and people have been reacting to it. The whole social media moral council and brethren with their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram divisions and sectors are out for blood; for Bisola's blood only apparently and I must say, I am very disappointed. Highly disappointed in our society today. Such double standards everywhere.
Yes, it's about the TTT and Bisola "head" incident.  I wasn't going to do any commentary on the show  on this blog as everyone is so busy putting up one thing or the other but I have had it up to my neck with the overly one sided criticism I have been seeing everywhere. I have seen people call Bisola a hoe, a slut, a whore, slut-shaming her in every sense of the word.
Even our dearest beloved TTT's mother has the guts to join in such a sorry act. She's pathetic by the way.

Anyways, y'all should get this straight though. I am NOT in any way supporting their actions. It's morally unacceptable but if we are  going to be "judges", then we have to be unbiased in our sense of judgement.
First of all, it's a reality TV show. For all we care, it could have been scripted. They could just be acting the role they are being asked to play. Y'all didn't think Big Brother didn't know TTT was a married man before allowing him to participate? What if it's all part of a big plot twist? A movie presented as a reality TV show?
Besides, I am pretty sure all the participants knew the cameras were going to be rolling, watching 24/7. Now tell me as a normal person, if you realize there's going to be a camera recording your every move 24/7 wouldn't you be self conscious and try to act as you want the viewers to see you? If y'all are gonna slut shame anyone here then we might as well go back to the movie industry Nollywood and Hollywood to slut shame every actress involved in every makeout/sex scene there has ever been. Yes. You can't just go about being so quick to open you mouth to insult someone's mother so brazenly just because she's in a way "acting" to earn some money. Also while we're at it, I would also like to remind you guys that they are playing for a prize money here. Twenty-five million Naira people! Some of you so quick to judge her have done worse for free. Yes for FREE o. A typical case of pot calling kettle black. "Let he who is without sin be the first to cast a stone". Let that sink in all ye hypocritical bunch.
Now, let's say you've attained the 'saint' level, you do want to cast the stone, should it just be one sided? Y'all seem to be forgetting that TTT is the married one here. If anyone is to be crucified, it should be him. Or is it because of the "he's a man and it's in their nature to cheat" excuse that is clouding your senses? Our beloved mummy dearest, iya TTT who put up a picture of his son's wife assuring her that she's the 'original' shouldn't she have taught her son to do better? Isn't he the one busy denying his wife and kids back-to-back out there? The wife nko? She that allowed her husband to go for such a thing, didn't she get a heads up of what it could involve?
If anything, Bisola is the victim here, the clueless victim. The clueless victim who was lied to by a cunning back-stabbing tall lanky man with a wife and two kids at home. She should have been smart nonetheless. Giving head on live TV when the lights were on was really dumb. But then when you think about it, isn't it all for the drama; the drama that the viewing audience wants; the drama that keeps them voting which could eventually lead to the winning of the prize? Who knows?
