'You're too smart for a girl'

Hi guys. I know this title sounds a little off but by the time I am done with this post you guys could probably help me come up with a better title for it. You're probably wondering, what is she going to talk about again today. Well keep reading to find out.
I don't mean to brag but I have always been one of those academically brilliant kids in school. You know those kids that win so many awards at the end of the school year and some parents start telling their children "does she have two heads?".  ðŸ˜‚😂 I still believe I am even though it's a tad bit tougher to keep up with it in the university.
Anyways a few days back, we were meant to have a test. Studying all night is not my thing. I usually dedicate two or three hours to study and when I am done I know I achieved something. After the test (which I think I aced btw), we were to have another.
I was talking with a coursemate and then somehow the topic of the last test and how I read for it in two to three hours and then he dropped the bomb.
I can't remember the exact way he said it but it was something in the line of "you know this your brain is not meant for you" or something. The reason being that i "would still get married and enjoy my husband's money" meanwhile them guys have to hustle to make it.
When I heard it I didn't know how to react. I just laughed it off but since then it stuck in my head.
So what do you guys think? Is he right or not?
P.s all those jobless Twitter feminists who have been blinded by the likes of Chimamanda Adiche (who I love her literature btw) and do not understand that gender roles in the society are meant to be complementary should not come and start raking here. I need normal sensible human opinions.
I'll be looking forward to reading your comments. Have a nice day as well.. Toodles!
