'Gay Christians' - A paradox that is almost comical.

Hi guys. It's me again. Last time, this was one of my concluding statements in my last vent which you can read here :   I find a certain group of members of the LGBT group really 'adorable' - the gay/lesbian Christians. I also said it was a discussion for another day which is why I am here today. Here's what I mean by that statement. N.B: If Christianity or religion is not your thing and you don't believe in the Bible, then this is where you turn back and walk away from this discussion. Thank you for complying. Now, back to what I was about to say.   I find them 'adorable' in the sense that I think it is really cute of them to claim to be Christians when their whole lifestyle revolves around the reason why a certain city in the Bible was destroyed. Remember the city of Sodom and Gomorrah? Two angels were sent to visit Lot and his family and warn him of the impending destruction of that city, only for the immoral men of the city to demand th

'Tolerance and Acceptance' - The LGBT crew and apologists' mantra and the fault wherein.

I set off a liberal snowflake's trigger senses a few days back when I noticed a picture of two gay men and in the usual fashion of what I did when I saw something interesting, brought it to my WhatsApp story with a caption that showed how annoyed as heel I was that those two gorgeous men were gay and how it was a 'waste'. The person went off on how they were on their own, minding their business and I decided to shame them. Not in the mood to get into a ruckus with the person, I just said okay and let it pass. However my own trigger senses were set off. What had intially been meant to be a joke on how fine the gay men were and unavailable to women, turned into something else. It had turned into a wake-up moment for those who were able to look past the wool of liberality cloaking their eyes, those who were not just jumping on the bandwagon of being 'woke', to analyse these things critically. The liberals are fond of asking everyone for tolerance and acceptance of

Gratitude for the little things.

What are you grateful for today? Life you'd probably say amongst other things . It would likely be at the top of your list. Relatively good health too might likely come after. Your family too maybe. How about those little things that usually go unnoticed? What kind of  little things you might ask? I would give you an example: You have this sumptuous plate of sizzling hot Jollof rice in front of you. You've said your meal time prayers, next you pick up your spoon, take a spoonful of rice and boom! It goes inside your mouth, you don't think of it. It's comes naturally. Same thing goes for a glass of water. You place the cup close to your lips and down the water goes. Again it comes naturally. Another one: You are at the bus stop, you're waiting for a bus going to Iyana paja. A bus comes. You want to ask the conductor if he's headed there. You shout 'Iyana paja?' Again you are able to do it naturally without any stress. It comes quick as lightni

Through to the Facebook note I published today (embedded below), I have a new post for you guys today. A few days back i saw this tweet on my timeline and the responses to it I saw were downright hilarious. hey ladies, please tell us all about the time you got “woman to woman’d” over a man you weren’t even fucking. this should be fun! 😭 — bathilda backshots | jason momoa called me darling (@missD0MINIQUE) April 4, 2018 It reminded me of an experience i had in my third year in university. I was in a department populated by mostly guys so somehow I manged to relate better with them than with my fellow female colleagues. It so happened during that period of time, that I fell ill and was on admission in the hospital for a few days and it was less than 2 weeks to the exams. By the time I was out of the clinic, I had missed out on some rushed coursework (story for another time) which I tried reading up on but I couldn't understand. So I talk to this guy I am pretty cool w

Craze on the Streets of Lagos

Hi guys. Welcome back to my blog. It has certainly been ages since I was here and I am certainly sorry for that. Today however, I would be sharing the story of an incident that occurred to me some weeks back. It was shared on my private Twitter account but no one seeemed to appreciate it there so I am bringing it to you guys instead. So here's what happened. I and my dad were heading back home one day on that road that leads to Oko oba from Ile zik just before Ikeja. If you stay around, you'd know that that place is a hub for traffic jam, slow moving vehicles and hawkers. So we were on this medium pace moving traffic flow, the driver keeping to his lane, a lane before the last lane on the right side, when suddenly out of nowhere comes this seemingly crazy danfo driver almost scratching the side mirror. The driver was fast enough to have avoided collision in that side of the car after which he gestured towards the danfo driver hands pointed to his head turning back and forth

There were certain perks to having a younger brother who is closer to your age and is not a tattle tale, 17 year old Eno had come to agree. Certain incidents were easier to hide. She smiled as thought of this as she and her mum sat in the kitchen to gist about the wedding she had just come back from, her mother oblivious to what had gone down to retain the pristine state of this kitchen less than 10 minutes ago. About 2 hours ago, she and her brother Edi who was two years younger than she was had been using the router at home on their individual laptops with the TV showing a Disney show in the background. Edi had just checked the rice he was cooking. “There is still some water in it”, He said when he got back. “Alright.” Eno went back to the picture she was trying to edit for her online store. Time went by and Eno could smell something. “Is it just me or is there a funny smell in the air?” “Oh no! Edi, the rice.” She abruptly stood up from the rug where she was

#TheVoiceNigeria Season 2 Finale - Candid Opinion Corner

The Voice Season 2 has finally come to an end. After weeks of training and performances and voting, we finally have a winner. Idyl. Definitely not who I had predicted would win but at least he’s way better than the other option. He’s a great singer. Ebube on the other hand though… I don’t know what to say at this point. I guess I could start by asking these salient questions. How the hell did Ebube get selected over Yimika? Who did the voting? Did those people have ears or did they vote primarily based on sentiments? Who are his sponsors? He definitely has to have someone sponsoring his voting or something because Yimika is a far more better singer when compared to Ebube. He’s also a better performer and has better charisma and packaging . Did you guys notice how Ebube went off key in his supposed finale performance? Celine Dion could sue him for ruining that beautiful song. The song he sang, had no semblance to the one Celine Dion made. Also, how did he make it to the top 2 f
